Welcome to my Blog friends, I'm happy your here! A small introduction about myself is that I am a proud Mother of 3 beautiful children, happily married for almost 29 years and an entrepreneur by heart. My hope in creating this blog is to share ideas with each other. I look forward to hearing from other business owners, but also from you consumers and the community around me. With everything going on around the world today and just having survived through the Covid pandemic, I would love to share a little bit about what business has looked like for us within the past few years. Sit back, relax, grab your favorite bevvy, and lets get talking! Many of you can relate that the world seemingly stopped in March 2019. It was one closure after another and the business I had been building up for 5 years was struggling. We found that 2 years into it we needed to make some drastic changes to survive to keep our doors open. All the while, knowing that other businesses were going through the same struggles, and that our customers were suffering with us. That's enough of doom and gloom for this blog post today. I would rather be interested in talking about how something so terrible was used for good. I chose to teach myself a brand new way of doing business. As some of you may know, seeing as you are on my website, I am the owner of MDC (Morden's Furniture Store). In November last year we made the tough decision to re-locate MDC to our current location (131 7th Street), we have received incredible support from our community and we thank God for all of you. I hope we can dig into this topic further and I look forward to hearing from all of you!
